Do you have any witchy suggestions for burnout? I feel exhausted with life in general. I'm seeking a therapist too, but I feel like I need spiritual healing as well.
Cleansing. Physically, mentally, spiritually. Take a bath/shower, play some music that makes you happy, do some cleansing (I like to do smoke cleansing when I’m in a funk, since it feels more tangible for me than other forms of cleansing).
Relaxing. There’s a reason you’re burned out. Set aside a chunk of time and focus on the little things. Make a cup of tea (witch it up), and do whatever your soul needs. Could be sitting outside, curling up with a book, creating something or watching a movie. Be gentle with yourself.
Recharging. What energizes you? What makes you feel alive in a good way? Eat food that feels good, move your body in a way that feels good, draw energy from whatever sources you get it from (some examples in the chronic fatigue post linked above).
This can be on whatever scale works for you. A quick morning or evening routine, a day set aside for it, over the course of a week or month, something you do daily. The steps can also happen in whatever order works or all happen at once! Don’t underestimate the little things you do each day and the influence they can have over time.
And to be fully transparent I’m constantly going through this process as well! I had an extremely draining day yesterday so today all I could do was rest (no energy to cleanse or anything). But tomorrow I plan on smoke cleansing then spending some time by running water and just letting some of that tension go with the current. Then I plan on drinking numerous cups of tea while watching a Ghibli film and see what I need from there :)
Seeing unhealthy patterns in your family and deciding that those pattens end with you and will not be passed down to future generations is an extremely brave and powerful decision.
Forgive yourself for repeating what was taught to you as a child, then put the conscious effort into deprogram these patterns.
